Job Summary

Brown Advisory's Baltimore office is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Portfolio Analyst to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in portfolio management activities, developing investment strategies, and ensuring that portfolio managers have adequate information to perform daily portfolio management duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Participate in the management of Balanced multi-asset class portfolios, each tailored to the customized investment needs of the client.
  • Investment Strategy Development: Develop investment strategies for clients in coordination with the Portfolio Management team and the Investment Solutions Group.
  • Client Relationship Management: Assist in the management of all aspects of client relationships, including communication, trading, and coordination with Portfolio Managers, Strategic Advisors, Client Service, and Marketing.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in investment management or financial services.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related subject. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with Charles River and APX are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task and establish priorities. Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion and a passion for financial markets.
