ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


• Supervises and manages IT Unit and its staff.

• Plans, directs and coordinates daily work and activities team.

• Oversees configurations, managing hardware and operating systems with installing and maintaining network devices and servers at multiple locations; implementing system enhancements; completing security audits; reviewing industry standards and implementing updates; managing compliance; and overseeing backup and file recovery processes.

• Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.

• Manages regularly scheduled maintenance of all agency IT assets.

• Responds to IT service requests.

• Assists in the development of the IT budget.

• Builds and maintains vendor relationships; manages the purchase of hardware and software; and manages IT inventory.

• Provides detailed weekly project progress reports.

• Resolves information technology issues and provides expert support when necessary.

• Manages and develops upgrades to the agency's telephone system.

• Recommends and initiates improvements in information technology.

• Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software; upgrades equipment and software.

• Oversees the setup of technical equipment for special functions, company meetings, and board meetings.

• Maintains technical equipment, including agency servers, computers, peripherals, surveillance systems, and audio systems.

• Complies with and helps to enforce proper standards, policies, procedures, and licenses.

• Supports essential company software systems; i.e. Finance, Work Orders, Registrations.

• Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction; strengthens client relationships.

• Evaluate and ensure security efficiency and assist in the installation of antivirus to fortify the security system.

• Coordinate with various departments, evaluate and ensure accuracy to all server operating systems.

• Manage and implement all network security processes and maintain proper reports.

• Documents and provides an upgrade to all information security policies and processes.

• Participate in the execution of product-oriented programs and methods for the enhancement of computing systems.

• Ensure completion of analytical studies maintain log recording and IDS alarm systems.

• Maintains Windows Active Directory infrastructure by overseeing email processes; managing file sharing and permissions; installing and maintaining server applications; and

overseeing all server backup processes.

• Manage and configure all company cell phones, computer devices (laptops/desktops), VOIP.

• Driving to and from different locations within the agency.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

• At least five (5) years of related management work experience; leadership role in a business, government, or non-profit environment including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
