The University of South Carolina is seeking a highly qualified Faculty Fellow in the field of Information Technology to join our team as part of the Bridge to Faculty Program. This two-year program is designed to attract and retain promising scholars to the University of South Carolina with an emphasis on outreach to underrepresented early-career scholars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a robust program of research in information technology
  • Meet regularly with faculty mentors
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Participate in the intellectual life of the IIT Department and the University
  • Option to teach one class in the second year

Requirements

  • PhD in information technology, information systems, health informatics, or related field completed between July 1, 2019, and the start date of employment (ABDs considered)
  • Research in translational science, design science, or other nontraditional methods are encouraged in addition to traditional quantitative and qualitative methodologies
