You will work on a variety of projects, including municipal and industrial water treatment facilities, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and achieve sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Develop and design treatment processes and systems for wastewater and potable water treatment.
  • Create detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies and methods for water reuse and resource recovery.

Project Management:

  • Manage and oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure projects comply with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Implementation and Optimization:

  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of treatment systems and equipment.
  • Analyze system performance data and conduct troubleshooting to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure long-term reliability of treatment facilities.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all projects and operations adhere to local, state, and federal environmental regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports, permits, and documentation as required.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay current with advancements in water treatment and reuse technologies.
  • Conduct research to identify new methods and solutions for improving water quality and sustainability.
  • Propose innovative approaches to enhance existing systems and processes.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment, water treatment, and water reuse.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, EPANET).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with advanced treatment technologies (e.g., membrane filtration, biological nutrient removal).
  • Familiarity with GIS and data analysis software.
  • Background in environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies.
