Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in the HR department by handling a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and training. This position requires a well-rounded HR professional with experience in a Manufacturing environment who is both strategic and hands-on, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures. Assist in resolving employee relations issues and conducting investigations as needed.
  • Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning. Coach managers on best practices for employee performance and development.
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management. Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate training programs for employees, including onboarding, compliance training, and professional development opportunities.
  • HR Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Ensure policies are up-to-date and reflect best practices.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports to provide insights and support decision-making. Monitor key HR indicators such as turnover, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Employee Engagement: Help develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and improve employee satisfaction.
  • Special Projects: Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of HR processes and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role or similar HR position.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing HR challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS systems.
