Account Coordinator

Brown & Brown is seeking an Account Coordinator to join our Employee Benefits Team in Meridian, ID
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Support a team of Account Managers
- Review and update plan attributes in the Benefits Account Management System following each renewal
- Work with carriers to request materials for customers (e.g., Open Enrollment materials) and/or follow up on previous requests made by the Account Managers
- Support Account Managers with processing adds, terms or changes to employee enrollments
- Communicate with carriers regarding customer billing discrepancies or simple claims issues
- Generate personalized forms for each customer (e.g., Annual Compliance Notices)
- Review carrier contracts for accuracy
- Draft employee communications materials for peer review by Account Managers
- Request information from insurance carriers on behalf of our customers
- Read and respond to all emails within 1 business day
- Maintain an appropriate level of confidentially of information processed
- Duties are done in a team environment
- Attend in-house educational sessions/classes as requested by leadership
- Any other tasks the department deems necessary
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, OneNote, etc.)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to obtain Life & Health License
