Seeking a permanent employee to act as both Assistant to the Director of the Firm and Full Charge Bookkeeper at a dynamic and growing company in Columbia, MD. This role will play a critical role in supporting our accounting and administrative functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask effectively.


Bookkeeping:

- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.

- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.

- Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow.

- Handle all aspects of general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

- Monitor and manage budgets and forecasts.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.


Requirements:

- Proven experience as a full charge bookkeeper or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
