ROLE AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for sales and marketing of filtration materials to Food and Process target markets including pharmaceutical, chemical/paint, food and milling, waste and municipal water, aquaculture, solid liquid separation. The territory will primarily include all states East of the Mississippi as well as a shared division of Canada, with extensive travel up to 50%.  The candidate will provide application guidance and technical assistance to customers while driving performance against a defined sales budget including top line sales growth, new customer acquisition, and focused new product sales.


·        Maintain and develop relationships with filtration converters and end users to enhance long-term business prospects.

·        Define and implement a strategic plan to grow regional business in alignment with Division Profit Plan goals. Develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations.

  • Prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness. 
  • Define project specifications and recommend pricing, prepare associated project quotations. 
  • Establish and maintain positive relationship with Customer Service to ensure all customer inquiries, orders, invoices and complaints are dealt with quickly and effectively. Resolve any potential customer conflicts.
  • Build a funnel of growth opportunities through market research and customer contact, maintain opportunity tracking through the use of CRM tools (Salesforce.com)
  • Maintain a high level of expertise of all applications and trends to effectively promote SAATI products and solutions. 
  • Document all activity reports, prospects and opportunities within the defined database system. Provide a 3-month forward forecast.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication flow throughout the commercial team and to other departments. Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions.
  • Represent SAATI at trade association meetings to promote product as appropriate

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical filtration operations
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship with valid unrestricted driver’s license
  • Relocation benefits are not offered for this position.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • 1-2 years marketing and technical sales experience
  • Practical experience and understanding on equipment or fabrication of belting industry
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with SAP or other related ERP system is preferred
