Sol Systems seeks a full-time Project Controls to support our utility scale development business. The Project Controls will build, analyze, maintain, and evaluate project schedules in all phases of the solar project lifecycle. The individual will use the schedule knowledge to update, analyze, and advise appropriate team members of the project spend forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Be Sol’s subject matter expert in scheduling.
  • Build and maintain template schedules using the Critical Path Method to be applied to projects in Sol’s development pipeline.
  • Generate schedules to support project acquisition activities.
  • Assist internal Project Developers as they build and track project schedules.
  • Analyze construction schedules, helping identify risks, changes in the critical path, and other changes during construction.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to identify and report risks to key milestones based on actual vs scheduled progress.
  • Support budget management tasks during pre-construction and construction, updating spend forecasts based on schedule changes in the EPC or Owner Furnished Equipment contracts.


A successful candidate will possess the following competencies, skills and attributes:


  • BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent field.
  • At least three years working with a project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera and using Critical Path Method.
  • At least three years working to support budget management.
  • PMP Certification is ideal, but not necessary.
  • Experience working in renewable project development or construction is a plus.


Location & Hours: This is a full-time role and will be based in our Washington, DC office.
