We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Lead Mammography Technologist to oversee staff, train staff, manage workflow, maintain the technologist schedule and schedule maintenance of all Mammography related equipment. In addition, under the general direction of the Radiologist; is responsible for performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams at a technical level and will produce high-quality images. May be assigned to other responsibilities (i.e., performing stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations or performing DEXA bone density studies etc.). You will also assist with ensuring that the department is in order with MQSA and FDA requirements and assists with DOH inspections.

We require:

  • Completion of in-house orientation program.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved radiology technology program.
  • NYS Radiologic Technology licensure essential; Active certification by ARRT essential.
  • Current ARRT certification in mammography, (RTRM) required.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Radiological Technologist.
  • 2-3 years of experience in mammography with experience in MQSA regulatory guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal English communication skills.
