Job Summary:

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams under the direction of a Radiologist. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to producing accurate results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams
  • Assist in stereotactic biopsy, breast wire localizations, and DEXA bone density studies
  • Meet MQSA regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Current New York State license in Radiologic Technology
  • Active certification by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Computer and typing skills

Working Conditions:

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn
  • Standing for prolonged periods, frequent walking
  • Exposure to radiation and blood, body fluids, or tissues
