We are looking for a contractor who can quickly integrate into our team and contribute to ongoing analytics projects from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end business intelligence solutions, including data modeling, reporting, and dashboard creation using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other BI platforms.
  • Perform complex data analysis and statistical modeling to support business decisions, using SQL, Python, VBA, and other relevant tools.
  • Design, build, and manage relational databases and data warehouses, employing modern data warehousing techniques such as dimensional data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Create and own key business metrics, reporting, dashboards, and financial models for various business review cycles.
  • Lead and participate in recurring performance reviews with leadership teams, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as customer returns and bad debt/payments.
  • Conduct analysis and benchmarking exercises to identify new business opportunities and promote best practices across operational teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to deliver actionable insights that drive business growth.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence and statistical analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and VBA.
  • Advanced user of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data manipulation.
  • Experience in building and managing relational databases and data warehouses.
  • Expertise in modern data warehousing techniques, including dimensional data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing metrics, reporting, dashboards, and financial models.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a diverse and geographically distributed team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, with a strong passion for processes, systems, and data mining.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, handle ambiguity, and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Ruby).
  • Prior experience with other BI tools such as OBIEE, SAP BW, Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion, BPM, or MicroStrategy.
  • A strong understanding of business insights behind the numbers, with a co-owner mindset for projects and business outcomes.
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively identify challenges, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Data science expertise with machine learning experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, with fluency in English.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a passion for metrics and figures, and a structured, organized approach to work.
  • A strong bias for action, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Exposure to AWS and cloud-based data solutions is desired.
