Job Title: IT - IT Specialist - Technical Support (Mid-Level)

Pay rate: $30 per hour

Duration: 03 months

W2 contract only (No C2C)

Location- Torrance, CA


Technical Support Specialist (Senior Level) Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot user problems at the desktop.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Independently resolve hardware break-fix issues, network connectivity, and application-related questions for third-party products.
  • Escalate or perform server functions to resolve desktop and TCP/IP connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts for proprietary application concerns.
  • Assist Project Managers with destination moves and hardware/software upgrades.
  • Conduct client interviews, technology evaluations, and recommendations.
  • Develop integration requirements, application configuration/distribution, UAT, onsite resource management, technical training, and Day One support.
  • Evaluate system potential by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs.
  • Assess expansions or enhancements by studying the computer system's workload and capacity.
  • Achieve computer system objectives by gathering data, identifying options, and recommending actions.
  • Confirm program objectives by testing new programs and making necessary modifications.
  • Improve existing programs by reviewing objectives, evaluating changes, and making modifications.
  • Evaluate vendor-supplied software for compatibility with existing hardware and programs.
  • Perform hardware/component factory acceptance testing.
  • Place software into production by loading and configuring it.
  • Place hardware into production by establishing connections and configuring it.
  • Maximize hardware and software use by training users and answering questions.
  • Maintain system capability by testing computer components.
  • Prepare user references by writing operating instructions.
  • Maintain historical records by documenting hardware and software changes.
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
