Key Responsibilities:
- Computational Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive computational chemistry strategy aligned with the company's goals, leveraging advanced techniques to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a high-performing team of computational chemists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams of chemists, biologists, pharmacologists, and data scientists to integrate computational chemistry methodologies into drug discovery projects and drive collective innovation.
- Research Oversight: Provide scientific leadership and oversight for computational chemistry research projects, guiding the design, execution, and interpretation of computational experiments and studies.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Extensive leadership experience in computational chemistry roles, with a track record of successfully implementing computational strategies and driving scientific impact in drug discovery and development.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in computational chemistry software and programming languages commonly used in molecular modeling, such as Schrödinger Suite, Gaussian, or CHARMM.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex molecular data, identify key insights, and guide strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
