Director of Process chemistry and Business innovation
Location-based
New York/Boston/San Diego/San Francisco/New Jersey, USA.
Your role
- Lead a team of chemists remotely to complete the scale-up of intermediates, RSMs, and APIs.
- Ensure that all processes are optimized for safety, quality, and efficiency through collaboration with internal teams.
- Leverage their technical expertise and business insight to ensure effective and uniform communication with clients.
- Meet with potential and existing customers in the assigned territory to showcase capabilities and services, recognize opportunities, build connections, and finalize deals.
- Attend conferences and industry events to represent the company professionally.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of company and client information.
- While this is a remote role with a US scope, the ideal candidate should be open to traveling to client locations as required.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Skills
- PhD in organic chemistry or related field.
- Prior experience in technical operations (R&D, Process chemistry, manufacturing) in a pharmaceutical or CDMO environment
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and terminology
- A willingness and ability to travel to client locations as needed
- Must be able to multitask while maintaining efficiency and effectiveness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with clients, peers, management, and other external contacts
- Must have the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment
- Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office Products, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with ICH guidelines and GMP operations.
- Ability to conceptualize problems and solutions and sort out the business strategy.
- Strong organizational, planning, project management skills, ability to maintain demanding timelines.
