Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of NH Operations aids the Project Manager on assigned projects and project teams for developing and achieving scope of work, project schedule, budget, coordination of people/resources, and client relationships.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for managing the Quality Control process for each project including but not limited to performing project walks, preparing RFI’s, preparing submittal logs, tracking project changes, cost reports, procurement of subcontractors and materials including scheduling and monitoring.
  • Oversight of Superintendent’s daily reports and additional field assignments as assigned.
  • Responsible for the setup of project in Project Management software (Procore).
  • Oversight of Quality Control and Submittal processes.
  • Ability to attend meetings and perform site inspections as assigned by Project Manager.
  • Preparation of change orders for review with Project Manager.
  • Responsible for the oversight and ownership of project RFI’s and submittals.
  • Preparation of project buyout, subcontractor correspondence, purchasing of materials and equipment as assigned by Project Manager.
  • Assisting in project closeout requirements as assigned by Project Manager.
  • Maintaining close relations with subcontractor to ensure precise conflict management.
  • Ability to transition into the management of smaller projects as a Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with Company safety guidelines and all local requirements (OSHA).
  • Ability to interpret technical instruction in mathematical diagram. Ability to deal with formulas, scientific equations, and graphs.
  • Participation in all superintendent meetings and calls as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates on an industrial worksite or outdoor area and uses mechanical equipment as needed to perform duties with associated noise levels. Weather conditions may vary. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. The employee may be occasionally required to climb ladders, high spaces and/or stairs. Specific vision required for this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work & Travel

This is a full-time position and may frequently require long hours and weekend work. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or field plus a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor.
  2. Thorough understanding of construction means and methods.
  3. Ability to utilize computer operations and advanced features of software packages (word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, AutoCad, Procore, Sage Timberline, Bluebeam, and scheduling software).
  4. Ability to read/write and communicate in English.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to function well in very busy situations.
  7. Responsible and reliable.
  8. Positive attitude and work ethic.
