The Role

Power Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and helping improve user experience and adoption of Hermanson’s Line of Business applications and data by leveraging Hermanson’s Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform investments.


As a Power Platform Developer, you will be responsible for implementing new features to our suite of products and champion improvements to existing systems using Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, .Net and other related technologies. As a key member of the IT Department, you will be working closely with technical and business partners within the organization to develop key features and applications.


Responsibilities:

· Designing, developing, and implementing effective Power Platform solutions and applications.

· Chiefly focus on evaluating opportunities to enhance business operations through PowerApp development.

· Modifying/maintaining custom entities, plug-ins, workflows, APIs, and Data Connections

· Actively participating in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment. Provide technical expertise for Hermanson’s Dynamics 365 application/data architecture and systems design.

· Designing, developing, and maintaining key components of the software suite using .NET Framework, ASP.NET, Power Platform and SharePoint.

· Providing, maintaining, and updating technical documentation to reflect new applications or enhancements to existing applications.

· Formulating unit tests to test application software in development to ensure that a pro­gram’s functionality matches its specification’s business requirements, and to ensure that the organizations programming standards are followed.

· Coordinating and supporting the implementation of developed projects for production use.

· Managing and supporting the maintenance of systems developed in-house, including “trouble-shooting”, defect fixing, change requests, designing, and implementing sound solutions.

· Monitoring usage patterns and usage rates to ensure that employees are using the system efficiently and effectively.

· Creating reports about the usage of the Power Platform apps and identifying potential areas for improvement based on the data collected.

· Working closely with our other support teams to provide quality customer service.

· Performing other duties within the same domain as assigned by the Manager, Development.

Requirements that are important to us:

· Three (3) or more years of functional or technical experience implementing custom solutions in the Power Platform and PowerApps Portal solutions

· Strong knowledge of database technologies like SQL/Microsoft Dataverse

· Strong knowledge and experience with SOA, REST, OData

· Strong team player, excellent attitude, takes initiative, and willing to help achieve team success.

· Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to change in business landscape and working environments.

· Understanding of basic waterfall and iterative project management concepts (Agile)

· Experience with Azure DevOps tools is an asset

· Experience with modern JS frameworks such as ReactJS and Angular considered an asset

· ITIL Process are an asset.

Considered a plus:

· Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience

· Experience in web application design and development

· Experience in functional or technical implementation of custom solutions in Dynamics 365

· Experience with other Dynamics 365 API and integration packages and experience with custom development of CRM APIs would be beneficial

· Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework

· Experience with SharePoint REST API, Client Side Object Model (CSOM), Remote Event Receivers

· Experience with source control management systems (SVN, Git) and continues integration environment
