Job Description:

Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Financial Pricing Analyst who is responsible for providing analytical and project management support to analyze pricing and margins as well as support day-to-day pricing of opportunities and the development of pricing and cost models. This position will collaborate closely with sales, finance and operations to support the company in optimizing profitability through better visibility, segmentation, and management.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Support the Pricing Manager with the pricing segmentation, modeling, and reporting functions for the company

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a financial pricing model used to understand cost impacts on customers, product families and part numbers.
  • Work with product management, sales, and engineering on constantly reviewing and adding or merging segmentation levels.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate a pricing model based on customer and product attributes as well as the speed, velocity, volume, and contribution margin.
  • Provide ad hoc cost and price analysis for quotes and other requests.
  • Provide ad hoc sales and margin reports as well as a standard segmentation analysis to support day-to-day pricing process or lap reviews.
  • Support as need the price and volume variance to the budget on a monthly cadence. Provide analytical support for significant variances.
  • Champion and manage price/cost walks used in customer negotiations.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of PowerBI that track sales and margin by product attributes.
  • Champion quarterly Top 10 Customer Pricing / Cost Reviews

Champion the cost, price, quote process (CPQ).

  • Project manage each CPQ that is assigned to you.
  • Schedule and manage pricing meetings at appropriate step in quoting/CR workflow with sales and product management to determine price.
  • Work with operations departments to gather costs inputs for each quote
  • Provide cost and price analysis for quotes based on financial and pricing models.
  • Provide recommendations for adjustments based on segmentation, PPV and other drivers as needed.
  • Attend and provide feedback in quote alignment meetings with plant and executive management when needed.
  • Ensure quote deliverables are met on time.

Monitor, Analysis and Escalate Cost Impacts

  • Work with supply chain, finance, and PC&L on pending PPV and as well as significant recently implemented cost increases to determine customer and product impact.
  • Provide monthly margin erosion analysis to sales and product management.
  • Work with finance and sales to track price / cost recovery for RMAs and LTAs
  • Obtain applicable commodity index prices and determine the raw material adjustment amounts for the relevant timeframe.
  • Support as needed the RMA price list accurately reflect the raw material adjustment amounts. Submit the updated price list to the sales and pricing administration teams ahead of time.
  • Track financial cost buckets (frozen/standard vs. current, SCORE/VAVE, PPV, etc…)
  • Develop tools, models and internal relationships for day-to-day cost inputs that reduce the burden on internal teams.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required skills and qualifications

  • Project coordination or management experience
  • Experience in coordinating teams
  • Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to model large data sets
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant finance experience

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile environment or on a Scrum team
  • Professional certification such as CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
