About Us:
Ayoroa Simmons specializes in providing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) services to the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Owner (AECO) industry. Our team of qualified professionals has a proven track record in all phases of project delivery including planning, design and construction. We help our clients reduce their risk and improve the bottom line by enhancing communication and accountability through the implementation of sound BIM practices. MUST BE BASED IN THE US FOR THIS ROLE.
Job Description:
Develop schematic and detailed level models in Revit including mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, structural, architectural and specialty equipment.
Using 2D and 3D model information, identify conflicts, incomplete or ambiguous design information. Coordinate with architects, design consultants, general contractors and other trade contractors to eliminate conflicts between building systems and develop fully coordinated BIMs.
Attend 3D coordination meetings (on site and web based) on behalf of our client.
Maintain and continuously improve QA/QC process and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the BIM and VDC realm in order to support the company’s activities as they pertain to providing leading edge BIM and VDC solutions to its clients.
-Support the processing, development and creation of BIM/VDC products including but not limited to: Spatial coordination models (Revit, Navisworks, CAD, Etc.).
-Drafting and development of various drawings including general arrangement drawings, coordination drawings, architectural drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
-Processing and management of 3D and 2D information as it pertains to coordination and design projects.
-Establish and maintain notes and other documentation of ongoing and proposed research as it relates to BIM/VDC in order to support the company’s business goals and technical capacity.
-Others as assigned
Qualifications:
-4-year degree or currently pursuing a degree in construction or engineering related field.
-Field experience, pre-construction BIM or VDC related experience.
-Proficiency with Revit and one or more of the following BIM compatible software platforms, AutoCAD, Trimble RealWorks and Navisworks.
-Field experience in construction management, estimating or architectural construction administration.
-Solid understanding of construction industry and processes.
