IT Asset Analyst

Optomi, in partnership with our financial client, is looking for an IT Asset Analyst to join their team immediately This role would be a contract to start and hybrid 2-3x per week in Atlanta, GA.


The Information Technology Asset Analyst is responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, including both software and hardware. This role involves gathering detailed asset information, organizing it in a centralized database, and ensuring timely notifications for key dates such as expiration or end-of-support milestones. The ITAA plays a critical role in maintaining accurate asset records and supporting the organization’s asset management processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and document detailed information for all software and hardware assets, and maintain it in a centralized Asset Management Database.
  • Record important asset data, including version details, service start/end dates, and support lifecycle stages (regular support, extended support, and end of support).
  • Assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and systems to effectively manage the Bank’s IT asset portfolio, ensuring both day-to-day and long-term asset management goals are met.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure asset data is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date.
  • Manage records related to licenses, service agreements, and warranties. Track expiration dates and provide management with timely notifications to facilitate decision-making.
  • Work closely with other departments and teams within the Bank to gather and verify asset information, ensuring completeness and accuracy.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of IT hardware and software, including lifecycle management, software licensing, and support models.
  • Minimum of 5 years working as an IT Asset Analyst or in a similar asset management role.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes and functions.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, for data entry, reporting, and analysis.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience with asset management platforms such as Ivanti Neurons, Symantec Altiris, or similar systems.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly to ensure asset data is properly maintained and up-to-date.
