IT Asset Analyst (Hybrid)
*This is a hybrid requirement in Atlanta, GA*
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premier clients, is seeking an Information Technology Asset Analyst (ITAA) to join their IT operations team. This candidate will be responsible for managing and tracking internal IT software and hardware assets, ensuring the accurate documentation of asset lifecycles, and providing timely notifications regarding asset expirations. The ITAA will play a key role in the asset management process and collaborate with internal teams to maintain optimal system performance.

Experience of the Right Candidate:
- Experience: 5+ years as an IT Asset Analyst or in a similar role within an IT department.
- Asset Management Knowledge: Strong understanding of software and hardware asset management, including the maintenance of licenses, service agreements, and warranties.
- CMDB Familiarity: Proven experience with ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) functions and asset tracking.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using MS Office products, particularly Excel, for asset tracking and reporting.
- Familiarity with asset management platforms like Ivanti Neurons, Symantec Altiris, or similar tools is a plus.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Asset Data Management: Capture, document, and maintain accurate information for all software and hardware assets in a centralized database.
- Lifecycle Tracking & Notifications: Monitor key asset lifecycle dates, including start of service, end of support, extended support, and end of life. Provide proactive notifications to management regarding expirations.
- Process & Policy Improvement: Assist in the development and maintenance of processes, policies, and standards to enhance the internal IT asset management practices.
- Quality Control & Auditing: Conduct audits and maintain consistent quality control procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date asset records across multiple systems.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other internal personnel to gather necessary asset information and support the overall asset management strategy.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of software and hardware licenses, warranties, and service agreements. Prepare reports to ensure transparency and compliance with internal policies.
- Support Asset Disposition: Assist in determining asset disposition strategies, including asset retirement or repurposing based on lifecycle stage and organizational needs.
