JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Training Manager will develop training programs, provide coaching and guidance to the training team, and build an engaging learning culture. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to operate effectively at a high level with leadership and stakeholders.

Duties • Organize and promote training schedules with the various counties.

• Develop and deliver programs of learning activities.

• Prepare for delivering course materials.

• Instruct users on an individual or group basis.

• Learn the system usage patterns based on user stories and on user materials to serve as a key resource for system users

Knowledge

• Knowledge of how to deliver excellent training services in a busy and complex environment.

Skills and Abilities

• Must have the ability to effectively liaison with solution vendor, stakeholders and executive sponsors.

• Willingness to develop a deep understanding of voter registration and election management solutions.

• Ability to conduct engaging remote learning sessions via Microsoft Teams.

• Ability to travel to remote locations in person training sessions.

• Ability to follow instructions, to prioritize tasks and manage a schedule to deliver training services that meet project milestone objectives.

• Provide our users with an optimal learning experience.

• Ability to understand and support end user training needs at varying levels of seniority and technical ability.

• Provide excellent customer service, consult and communicate clearly and effectively (orally and in writing), and develop positive relationships that generate a collaborative working environment.

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to meet agency requirements.

• Understanding of and ability to apply the most appropriate modern training standards and practices

Education and Experience

• Post-secondary education.

• Four (4) years of experience developing and delivering systems or software training programs.

• Certified Technical Trainer or equivalent
