The role will also include project management duties and will be a part of a collaborative team, working effectively with other Taproot members, including project coordinators, designers, developers, copywriters and senior management.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing or advertising
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing-related public relations
  • Ability to create and execute comprehensive communication/marketing plans inclusive of budgets and timelines
  • Experience writing press releases
  • Experience monitoring news coverage to determine the public’s perception of an organization or initiative
  • Experience analyzing media coverage and drafting appropriate responses
  • Experience creating and implementing publicity strategies (including crisis communication)
  • Experience with damage containment in crisis situation strategies
  • Some experience planning and managing events
  • Robust knowledge of industry best practices
  • Ability to effectively pitch ideas, concepts and strategies
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
