About the Role:
As a Power & Transmission Leader specializing in Design Build Linear experience, you'll play a pivotal role in route selection, ductbank design, permitting, and client management for a range of linear transmission projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-disciplinary efforts on linear transmission projects, overseeing design, permitting, and construction.
- Drive business development by strengthening relationships with existing power utility clients and identifying opportunities with new EPC clients.
- Supervise and mentor a team, providing leadership on conceptual route selection, design packages, SWPPP development, and permitting tasks.
- Write and review proposals and reports, including feasibility studies, technical specifications, and utility reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field (Masters’ degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in the development, permitting, and oversight of linear infrastructure projects.
- Valid Professional Engineer license.
- Knowledge of land use processes and regulations.
- Ability to travel to project sites.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary linear projects from concept through construction and project close-out.
- Working knowledge of Article VII, revocable consent, and/or 94-C process in New York State.
- Existing relationships with key stakeholders, such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDEP, NYCDEC, USACE, local railroads, MTA, NYSPSC, NYCDPR, power utility companies, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
