Senior Transmission Engineer - GA, NY, NA

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Transmission Engineer to join a 2000 person Engineering consultancy that works across multiple different industry sectors including transportation, real estate, federal & local governments and energy industries. They have a few years ago they have made the transition into the renewable energy generation across multiple technologies including Solar, BESS, Wind, Hydro, EV Charging & Anaerobic Congestion, which gives you the opportunity to gain experience across them all. They have a stacked pipeline of prestigious projects and proven success of delivering both utility-scale and distributed level renewable energy project such as Canton Landfill Solar, South Fork Off-Shore Wind, Solar Carports & CT Battery Energy Storage. This gives you the opportunity to join a company with a great stability and financial backing, with huge investment being put into their Substation division.

Responsibilities Support electric distribution/sub-transmission/transmission upgrade and refurbishment projects. Compile, review, and assess engineering archives, vendor drawings, and equipment specifications. Design/Assess overhead lines, wood, concrete, tapered tubular steel, hybrid structures, and deep foundations. Prepare bill of materials, structure work lists, minor design packages, major design packages, staking diagrams, plan and profile drawings, design specifications. Prepare written technical reports and oral presentations documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Provide mentorship and training to entry level and junior engineering personnel.

Qualifications B.S. in Civil/Structural/Electrical Engineering with a concentration in structures/power 5-8 years required, 8+ years preferred of professional engineering experience within the utilities industry (a Master’s degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience) Professional Engineering license expected Familiar with the NESC recommended.
