We're looking for a passionate leader to head up our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment programs.


We collaborate with Contra Costa County Behavioral Health and Alameda County Behavioral Health to provide Medi-Cal funded programs such as:


  • Our Men’s Recovery Home: A 20-bed residential program for adult men.
  • Latino Family Services Center: An intensive outpatient program for adults.
  • Women's Outpatient: A specialized program for pregnant or parenting women.
  • Youth and Adolescent Programming: A community and school-based program for adolescents.


We seek a Director of Recovery and Wellness Services to lead these programs, ensuring quality, compliance, and overall success while fostering a collaborative work environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Department Leadership and Program Standards:

  • Network and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance services.
  • Lead special projects to ensure department success.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, update job descriptions, and advise on final staff selections.


Staff Management and Supervision:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to management and supervisory staff through weekly meetings and ongoing feedback.
  • Support professional development and enforce ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with the Multicultural Psychotherapy Training Institute for trainee placements.
  • Track performance expectations and ensure quality clinical interventions.


Leadership Development:

  • Facilitate training for supervisory and managerial staff to develop leadership skills.


Contract Management:

  • Regularly review program contracts, ensuring compliance with performance expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate on funding opportunities and budget management.
  • Serve as a liaison with funders on programmatic and operations issues.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete internal reports and track key metrics.
  • Lead or collaborate on special projects.
  • Monitor program activities in person at least once a week.



Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, or related field, with licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist).
  • Extensive knowledge of Substance Use Disorders and evidence-based treatments.
  • 4 years of experience in clinical program management.
  • Familiarity with Alameda County's Organized Delivery System and Clinician’s Gateway/InSYST SmartCare.
  • Knowledge of CalAIM guidelines.
  • Experience in non-profit and community-based organizations is highly desirable.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shots (accommodations may be available as required by law).
