This would also include maintaining security measures to ensure the integrity and availability of the information systems. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.


This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and Partners.

This individual will assist project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases. These activities include the definition of needs benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project lifecycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling out the solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project lifecycle.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • Performs, guides, and/or ensures the accomplishment of the following core management functions for the department: planning, organizing, directing, staffing/employee selection and performance management, coordinating, reporting & budgeting.
  • Provide Microsoft Windows platform management, configuration, design, training, and expertise. MS platform includes Office 365 E5 enterprise solution (Defender, Entra ID, Teams including Teams Voice with direct routing, Endpoint Management , etc.), SCCM, Active Directory and Hyper-V.
  • Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts, including the coordination of project and user staff in the execution of the test plan.
  • Provide systems, vendor and technology specific management, configuration, design, training and expertise for server infrastructure, software applications and services.
  • Produce status reports showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Proficient verbal, written and presentation skills; communicates clearly, with credibility and confidence.
  • Communicates effectively (verbally and in writing) with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the company.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced analytical and project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, practices, and challenges.
  • Well-developed organization and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in the following software applications: Active Directory, Hyper-V clusters, SQL, SCCM, Azure, SharePoint Online, Teams, Endpoint Management, Hyper-V, etc., sufficient to apply and /or support the applications with minimal instruction or guidance; this level of proficiency is typically attainable through 5-plus year(s) of substantive experience with the applications.
  • Other key application experience may include the following: Rubrik, Zscaler, DUO Security, Kenna Security, Meraki, ZeroFox, BitSight, Malwarebyte ThreatDown, Abnormal Security.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
  • Maintain and optimize DR plan.
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
  • Provide support per request from various stake holders. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted stake holders.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
  • Upgrade and configure system software that supports the infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Make recommendations for future upgrades.
  • Maintain data center security.
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
  • Promotes an atmosphere conducive to the open exchange of new ideas, and alternatives to orthodox approaches.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology


Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft products including but not limited to, M365 E5 Suite, SCCM, Active Directory and Entra ID, Azure, PowerShell, Endpoint Management and Hyper-V.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certifications
  • Demonstrable evidence of analyzing and documenting complex business systems. Proven experience leading and implementing a project across multiple locations. Experience providing written documentation and instructions regarding information systems. Ability to interact with all levels across the organization and skill sets regarding technical capabilities.
