Rate $40 - $60/HR depending on location and experience


Role Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II with expertise in tubing design for various aerospace applications. As part of our dedicated team, you will design and deploy tubing systems that are critical to our spaceflight operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and route large diameter tubes.
  • Generate detailed drawings from tubing assemblies.
  • Develop and refine finite element models.
  • Conduct strength checks and generate analysis reports.
  • Participate in test and verification planning and report generation.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of aerospace/space industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Creo preferred; experience with Catia is acceptable.
  • Experience routing large diameter tubes and creating detailed drawings from tubing assemblies.
  • Solid foundation in structural static/dynamic fundamentals and finite element modeling.
