Why You鈥檒l Love This Role:
- Be the maestro of payroll operations, ensuring smooth and accurate multi-state, semi-monthly payroll processing.
- Tackle employee benefit inquiries like a pro, delivering swift and courteous resolutions.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to iron out any benefit plan billing discrepancies.
- Oversee long-term absence processing, including FMLA and temporary disability leave.
- Manage workers' compensation administration with ease.
- Keep employee data verifications (new hires and terminations) on point and timely.
- Shine during year-end payroll processing, from W2 balancing to ACA entries.
- Craft and refine user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
- Lead the charge in coordinating annual open enrollment processes.
- Conduct engaging benefit orientation meetings and enroll new employees in benefit plans.
- Protect employee confidence and uphold confidentiality.
- Be the go-to guru for daily user inquiries.
What You Bring to the Table:
- An associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- 5 to 7 years of payroll experience; bonus points for benefits experience
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with a multi-faceted HRIS platform (Kronos preferred).
- Stellar customer service skills and the knack for anticipating needs.
- High responsiveness with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Excellent problem-solving and judgment skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety policies and related reporting is a plus.
