The Lead Training Specialist is expected to be a strategic team player with exceptional organizational and time management skills. They will have excellent research skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. This employee will provide mission critical, integrated, operational, and training support to ensure program standards of performance are met. They will have a keen interest in data integrity and training compliance. This individual will also demonstrate outstanding integrity while operating as a key System Administrator within multiple databases. In addition, a top candidate will be a strong solutions-based thinker and an outstanding facilitator of learning and change implementation.


Pay: Starting at $70,000/year


RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to training and program support as follows:

- Ensure Examiners and staff meet the VA Training Requirements

- Operate as the system admin for VA TRAIN account and Moodle Learning Management system.

- Prepare daily uploads for employee provisioning into MDE4VETS.

- Maintain accurate training reports for the MDE Program.

- Monitors and ensures data integrity and consistency between the talent management system (Salesforce), the learning management system (Moodle), and the operational system (MDE4VETS).

- Develop strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with the Clinic Support Team, Business Partners, Examiners, internal and external staff.

- Support new hires with employee retention, overall customer service and program satisfaction.

- Anticipates and resolves potential issues to avoid downstream problems and optimize outcomes.

- Work with internal and external teams to resolve data inaccuracies.

- Assist program leadership and other members of the training team with evaluating program performance to ensure that training meets business needs and improves performance.

- Present reports to management on employee training compliance

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a training role

- Demonstrated knowledge of VA compensation and pension/medical disability exams

- Highly computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and related business and communication tools.

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

- Seasoned Presenter and Public Speaker

- Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Prior Military experience or demonstrated familiarity with the military community and culture.

- VA MDE Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
