Client Overview: Our client manufactures and markets household furnishings such as pillows, chair, and bed pads. They are seeking a Freelance Packaging Manager to join their team.


This role is 5 days onsite in New York City.


Packaging Manager Responsibilities:

  • Self-manages the full development of creative projects, photography projects, and packaging projects for all Table, Kitchen, Pillow, Chair Pads and Throw orders.
  • Works on various packaging and labeling for table linens and kitchen textiles, decorative pillows, bedrests and throws.
  • Prepares excel documents to begin package development and track progress to ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Works closely with overseas factories and retailers to collect all necessary package and product information, and establish deadline dates.
  • Follows up on pending information from factories, and gives feedback on digital and print proofs.
  • Careful proofing of all graphic package design proofs for UPCs, copy and color.
  • Able to orchestrate photoshoots with Photography Studio and direct the lifestyle shots
  • Able to Photograph, edit and retouch photos for web upload purposes and packaging


Packaging Manager Qualifications:

  • Looking for someone with 6+ years of packaging design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, preferred or years experience.
  • Possess strong project management skills that understands deadlines
  • Textile background preferred, has knowledge with Table top product.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
