Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead our release processes, manage infrastructure incidents, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of monitoring tools, containerization, cloud environments, and CI/CD practices. This role is critical in ensuring our services are reliable, scalable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

Release Management:

  • Champion the release process and ensure smooth, reliable deployments to production.
  • Develop and submit recovery plans on time, ensuring minimal downtime during incidents.

Monitoring and Incident Management:

  • Utilize monitoring tools such as Splunk and the ELK stack to ensure system health and performance.
  • Manage infrastructure incidents, diagnose problems, and implement effective resolutions.

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

  • Oversee existing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Build and customize CI/CD pipelines, particularly for machine learning and AI projects.

Containerization and Orchestration:

  • Implement and manage containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Utilize OpenShift for on-premises container orchestration when necessary.

Cloud Transition and Management:

  • Lead the migration from on-premises infrastructure (Hydra) to Google Cloud.
  • Optimize data storage and management strategies to handle large data volumes efficiently.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role in a senior capacity.
  • Extensive experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and the ELK stack.
  • Strong background in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes; OpenShift experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Experience with cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud, is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex infrastructure issues.
  • Strong understanding of release management and recovery planning.
  • Ability to build and manage custom CI/CD pipelines for various projects, including machine learning and AI.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform is a plus, but not required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
