The primary purpose of this role is to support the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in Clean Energy projects, including large-scale ammonia production, hydrogen production, electrolysis, and carbon capture and sequestration facilities, by providing electrical engineering expertise.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of electrical designs from conceptual phase to completion.
  • Review and provide recommendations for electrical equipment specifications, RFQs, and technical bids.
  • Interface with suppliers, engineering disciplines, and designers for equipment data.
  • Manage project schedules, scopes, budgets, staffing, and construction plans.
  • Resolve design-related installation issues with field personnel.
  • Ensure field inspections and installations meet company standards.
  • Develop cost proposals, project budgets, and performance reports.
  • Integrate electrical systems with overall project designs.
  • Review projects for compliance with safety, engineering, and construction standards.
  • Specify key electrical equipment and provide engineering support for purchase specifications and technical bid evaluations.
  • Update company electrical equipment specifications and engineering standards.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
  • Adhere to QA/QC processes and ensure project quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge and experience in the design and electrical systems for large industrial facilities.
  • 10+ years in designing and validating large-scale facility designs.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical one lines, three lines, and schematic diagrams, including flow charts, P&IDs
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code, IEC, ISA, NEC, API, IEEE standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Preferred: Experience with hydrogen, syngas, ammonia, or GTL processing facilities, electrolysis systems, ETAP, and arc flash studies
  • Ability to travel 20-50% of time to field sites and offices with occasional overnight stays.
