Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Engineer to join our Electrical and Instrumentation team in Houston, Texas, USA. The successful candidate will lead and support the development of electrical deliverables on various projects, including power studies, area classification drawings, and specification of electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or support a team of electrical engineers and designers on projects
  • Develop project scope of work for electrical engineering and design
  • Monitor and advise department manager of major project changes
  • Prepare detail design schedules, staff loading schedules, and man-hour estimates
  • Report progress, update schedules, manage staffing needs, and hourly budget
  • Establish engineering and design concepts and data for assigned scope
  • Prepare project scope deviations documentation as required
  • Research suitable solutions, estimated cost, and timescales
  • Train less experienced engineers
  • Review vendor documents
  • Evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems
  • Apply standard engineering design tasks and exhibit a working knowledge of applicable codes
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of work
  • Review and generate design data and/or deliverables from various inputs
  • Perform sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standards
  • Coordinate details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines
  • Supervise, check, and assist other electrical personnel in their assignments
  • Prepare and/or supervise and check documents and drawings as required
Qualifications

15+ years of experience in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining, and/or Petrochemical Plant Engineering/Design

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
