We are seeking an Business Analytics Manager for our Michigan Headquarters in Madison Heights. This person will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO by reviewing departmental KPI's, evaluating operational effectiveness, and proposing business process improvements. Will interpret complex data to support decision-making, utilizing financial and strategic modeling and tools such as, BI, AI/ML, and SQL . Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.


This position currently requires 3 days in office, and the company reserves the right to change the on-site requirement based on company need. 15% Bonus Potential.


Job Description:

The Business Analytics Manager serves as a strategic partner to the CEO, meticulously reviewing departmental KPIs to identify strengths and weaknesses, evaluate operational effectiveness, and propose business process improvements. The role demands innovative problem-solving to overcome operational barriers, designing and implementing methods to track and measure organizational performance for strategic planning, and conducting due diligence for M&A activities, preparing compelling business cases. This role demands a highly skilled professional with a strategic mindset, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive significant business improvements in a manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Leverage advanced data analysis techniques to derive insights that inform strategic business decisions and drive key initiatives.
  • Lead and execute high-impact, cross-functional initiatives to enhance organizational performance.
  • Conduct deep dives into data, processes, and user experiences to uncover critical insights, translating them into actionable strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs and deliver value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, offering independent perspectives and strategic recommendations.
  • Collect, model, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and patterns, providing operational analyses and recommendations to senior management. Deliver reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc business models.
  • Prepare Board presentations and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Partner with leadership across all departments to investigate trends, uncover data anomalies, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Drive data-driven analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement and prioritize strategic opportunities.
  • Structure complex problems into manageable projects, charting a clear path forward and enabling teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee analytical and operational projects, identifying opportunities for process refinement and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence for potential M&A activities and present business cases to executive leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years in a data-driven analytical role, with a strong grasp of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in operational design, process improvements, governance, technology assessments, and execution.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deconstruct complex business problems into manageable components.
  • Strong, independent voice to challenge and influence team thinking, while building trust-based relationships across the organization.
  • High-energy, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with senior leadership.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand the rationale behind decisions quickly.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex data and presenting clear findings to support decision-making, with experience in financial and strategic modeling, BI, AI/ML tools, and SQL being advantageous. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • In-depth experience conducting process analysis and optimization.
  • PMP and CQM/OE certification strongly desired.
