Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Management:
  • Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring all work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, technicians, and other on-site personnel.
  • Ensure all mechanical piping and plumbing installations are done according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Address any safety concerns immediately and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution of work.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the field.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and progress to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower to ensure efficient project flow.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues related to mechanical piping and plumbing systems.
  • Adapt to changing project conditions and make necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation of site activities.
  • Monitor project schedules and update progress reports as required.
  • Ensure all inspections and approvals are documented and submitted in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical piping/plumbing, specifically within HVAC systems.
  • Extensive experience in a supervisory or superintendent role overseeing large-scale commercial projects.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, and plumbing.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
