Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax and Accounting Manager. The Tax and Accounting Manager will work closely with the entities and the individuals who run them. Communication skills and the ability to think on your feet are a must. Details, deadlines and time management are essential to this position. The ability to seamlessly switch between tasks and clients is also needed due to the nature of our clients.

Responsibilities of the role include:


·        Reviewing client financial statements and performing related accounting functions

·        Reviewing client financial information and making corrections/adjustments

·        Preparing of income tax projections according to applicable laws and regulation and within required timelines

·      Preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership and personal income tax returns according to applicable laws and regulations and within required timelines

·       Facilitating all aspects of a client engagement, including managing the employees who work on the engagement and exceeding the client's expectations

·        Marketing and promoting the firm, including engaging with potential clients to sell our services

·        Providing leadership, feedback, direction, and mentorship to team members

·        Facilitating effective flow of communication within the team to ensure coordinated effort when necessary to meet tax season client obligations and deadlines


Skills needed:


Good interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills are required. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Knowledge of Quick Books, Quick Books Online and Ultra Tax helpful. Confidentiality is also essential for this position.


Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with clients and coworkers. Desired behavioral attributes include humility, adaptability, and the desire to do whatever needs to be done to meet the level of service and customer care that our clients expect.  


General minimum requirements:


·        CPA licensure

·        5-15 years of public accounting experience which includes managing and planning business and personal tax client engagements

·        Entrepreneurial mindset, including being able to plan, strategize, and keep the firm ahead of the curve in the marketplace


Work environment:


Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves sitting at a desk and operating personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to local client worksites may also be required.
