Summary: Responsible for performing installation of AV systems and perform general labor as assigned at customer job locations.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the assigned Lead Installation Technician to complete all phases of the assigned installation project from startup to closeout
  • Perform installation of AV systems including cabling and terminations, rack assembly and equipment installation components such as speakers, displays, projectors, screens and cameras
  • Perform assembly, installation and repair of equipment, materials and systems as directed, specified and required in the work orders and project documentation
  • Perform all closeout duties including taking pictures, testing all installed equipment to ensure it is operating properly and informing the Project Manager that the job is completed
  • Perform tasks within the assigned time frame
  • Adhere to quality standards on a consistent basis
  • Inform assigned Project Manager of any problems and concerns while on assigned project as appropriate to assigned Level
  • Actively participate in personal and professional development opportunities offered by to maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company offers
  • Comply with operating policies, practices and procedures
  • Ensures that company credit card (if issued) is secured and used exclusively for approved business-related expenses and in accordance with company policy; provides supporting purchase documentation in a timely manner through Q360
  • Adhere to all safety rules, procedures and policies and report all unsafe conditions/injuries to the Installation Technician Foreman immediately
  • Attend all assigned job meetings
  • Maintain a professional image including in appearance, attitude and communication with customers, co-workers and members of the public while representing company.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required


Qualifications

  • 1 year of AV commercial installation experience
  • Experience pulling, terminating, and testing cable
  • Must have a basic understanding of general construction standards
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use standard hand tools
  • Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with learning and operating new phone apps to enter job information and record time
