Job Title: AV Field Engineer

Columbia, MD

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AV Field Engineer to join our team at Quadrant Inc. The successful candidate will have a strong background in audiovisual systems commissioning, integration, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field closeout and commissioning of complex audiovisual and control systems
  • Creation, modification, and system tuning of audio DSP files for various manufacturers
  • Configuration of equipment for networking components, video conferencing, audio and video switching, projection, displays, video walls, cameras, microphones, audio DSP, etc.
  • Use of laptop and test equipment to ensure proper installation and quality control of integrated AV systems
  • Networking experience and ability to configure networked AV devices, networked audio, video over IP, video conferencing endpoints, and unified communication platforms
  • Client training and demonstration experience and education
  • Proficiency in control system programming/configuration for Crestron
  • Work with engineering team and management to continuously develop internal commissioning documents, best practices, and standards
  • Document system configurations, and commissioning reports, review redline drawings for as-built accuracy, communicate punch lists, daily reports, and programming coordination details
  • Perform system evaluations of engineering schematics and field drawings/documents
  • Assist with project closeout documentation and obtaining customer acceptance forms
Requirements:
  • 3 years with direct experience in AV and system commissioning
  • Experience with deploying control systems including Crestron, AMX, Extron, and QSC and associated software
  • Integration-focused background and experience working new construction AV projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency for cable terminations including audio, video, Category cabling, fiber, and control
  • Certifications from Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, QSC, Polycom, and others is a plus
  • Technical degree or an active CTS certification preferred
