Director Information Technology Security

The hourly rate is $75 to $80 per hour


Seeking a skilled and experienced Security Manager to join our IT Security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM), particularly with Okta, as well as experience in AWS and Active Directory hardening for both workstations and servers. This role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • IAM Management: Oversee the implementation and management of Identity and Access Management solutions, particularly using Okta, to ensure secure and efficient user authentication and authorization processes.
  • AWS Security: Manage security protocols for AWS environments, including configuring IAM policies, managing security groups, and ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Active Directory Hardening: Develop and enforce strategies for hardening Active Directory environments, including user provisioning, role-based access controls, and monitoring for anomalies.
  • Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures to protect organizational assets and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts, including the investigation and resolution of security incidents and breaches.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT security with a focus on IAM, AWS, and Active Directory hardening.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Okta for IAM, deep understanding of AWS security services, and experience with Active Directory management and hardening techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and develop effective security strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
