FMI is the champion for feeding families and enriching lives with nutritious, safe, and affordable food at retail. We work with and on behalf of the entire food retail industry to advance a safer, healthier, and more efficient consumer food supply chain. Our work is meaningful


Our State Government Affairs team provides FMI member companies and state association executives with resources and support to manage the wide range of state public policy challenges that impact the food industry.


The team is looking for a detail-oriented manager with at least three years of relevant experience to:


  • Use their research, and critical thinking skills to track, analyze and report on key state legislative and regulatory initiatives of importance to our industry;
  • Use their persuasive writing skills to draft articles, policy papers and other deliverables for our members;
  • Plan and execute the logistics, programming and technology for our State GR meetings and annual retreat; and,
  • Communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders.
