POSITION: Event Associate

ORGANIZATION: Education

LOCATION: Newark, NJ

HOURS: Part-Time (flexible schedule)

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: 2 months

PAY: $30/hr

DESCRIPTION:

  • Our client needs an experienced Events Associate to help with an upcoming golf outing (8/5/24). The full-time events person is now out on maternity leave, but has left behind a suggested plan.
  • The outing is more than half sold already and there's a secondary event that eventually merges into one for program and dinner in the evening.
  • Client is having the development office managed by CCS through mid-June.
  • Duties include: take existing plan and pull together details, follow up as necessary, work on securing auction items and maximize the income with the assistance of the development team.
  • Manage event day logistics to both organize and also lead/manage.
  • Close the event out efficiently and effectively, which includes ensuring vendors are paid, collections are made, acknowledgements are correct and mailed, and any other tasks involved in neatly closing things out.
