Summary
Responsible for creating, evaluating, and executing quality assurance processes, procedures and statistical techniques.
- Participate in implementing and monitoring processes for an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system
- Perform internal auditing of quality system processes
- Perform root cause analysis for process and product nonconformances
- Coordinate completion of corrective and preventive actions
- Perform failure analysis and reporting for RFID products
- Conduct data analysis for product and process performance using statistical techniques
- Lead cross-functional teams to facilitate product and process improvements
- Support ESD Control program
- Perform supplier site audits for supplier qualifications and nonconformances
- Participate on engineering design teams to provide inputs regarding quality for new product development
- May be responsible for coordinating IPC solder certification training
- May supervise the activities of teams.
Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the background, knowledge, skills, education, and abilities required.
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Ability to write and interpret technical documents
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical assemblies
- Proficiency with MS Windows and Windows
- Ability to prioritize work, be proactive, work independently and pay attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills including mentoring/training/presentation
- Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering field of Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance Engineering
- Preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: American Society of Quality - Certified Quality Engineer, Manager, or Auditor; IPC Solder Standards: IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721; ANSI/ESD S.20.20 Electro-Static Control Program.
- Experience with MRP (i.e. Visibility) is desired.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
