Title: Director, Analytics – B2C Marketing. The position reports to VP of B2C Marketing, AMN and is part of the North American B2C Marketing Management team.


Analytics Team mission: Leads the B2C Marketing Analytics & Insights team responsible for driving the data-driven transformation throughout the department & in partnership with regional Business Intelligence & Analytics and global teams. Includes the planning, developing and deploying of

analytical capabilities to deliver more effective and efficient data-driven decision making across the commercial business team. Delivers capabilities that drive business results for

brands and teaches/trains/upskills the employee base along the way; establishes the function as an integral growth engine for the B2C branded business.


Description of the role


What you’ll do

Responsible for establishing the analytics & insights in SUPPORT of the B2C Marketing Mid to Long Term Ambitions. Business Partner meets Analytics Expertise:

⮚ Sets strategic vision and drives implementation of the analytics roadmap to deliver against

annual commercial needs

⮚ Through direct and indirect teams, leads the development of analytics products that deliver

actionable insights on consumer, customer, digital, market & share performance.


Example of product: Product XXX – an analytical product aimed at integrating consumer, customer and company data with the goal of identifying early signals/patterns to inform product plans, understand brand health, mitigate risks and detect white space opportunities, using NLP (natural

language processing).


Example of other use cases: Drawing insight from all of the data we have (our sales trends, campaign effects, product data, sell-out data…). Help make better decisions based on data – analyzing and helping support business.


⮚ Responsible for leading a team of high-performing market intelligence analysts (MINT) that works cross functionally with sales, marketing & Supply Chain to ensure forecast accuracy is met given business needs. Implement market intelligence tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and

effectiveness.


⮚ Collaborates with other teams in the region and globally to find new ways of working with the goal of accelerating the development of analytical products to address business needs, define data strategy and increase cross functional collaboration amongst business and technical teams.


What you’ll bring


Approx. 10 – 15 years of a balance between technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset.

• Leadership in Analytics and Data Strategy

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing finance,

operations, and IT, to integrate analytics into various business functions.

• Proven Results in Data-Driven Decision-Making

• Experience with Advanced Analytics Techniques

Proficiency in statistical methodologies and advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning, predictive modeling, etc. to derive meaningful insights.

• Technology Proficiency

Strong familiarity with analytics tools and technologies, as well as the ability to stay current with emerging trends and advancements in the analytics field.

• Change Management and Innovation

• Communication and Presentation Skills

Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical concepts in a clear

and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Results-Oriented Leadership

Education:

• B.S. M.S...

• BA + MBA in Advanced Analytics or Statistics or Business Analytics or Data Science .


Key Expected Achievements:


3 months:

1) Understanding of the organization, ambitions and how analytics plays a role in driving data-based decision making.

2) Establish key relationships/alliances with business and technical partners within the region as well as globally.

3) Fully embed with the existing analytical product development workstreams.


1 year:

1) Continue to evolve the analytical roadmap development and prioritization processes as business needs change.

2) Amplify the learning, development and empowerment of team members in support of the high- performance team model while continuously exhibiting the Michelin’s ICARE behaviors.

3) Develop standard approach to clearly articulate the value of analytical products in partnership with other analytics teams, both in the region and globally.

Team has been in development the last 2 years and has a good culture. Majority of team is remote and this has been trend setting and positive for our culture.


Team Responsibilities:


• Answer and anticipate critical business questions and opportunities and deliver critical insights to the business Developing in-depth business, analytical and systems knowledge to improve or build analytical solutions, approaches and business recommendations

• Visualize data (Power BI, Tableau, Excel), and utilizing analytic tools (R, SAS, JMP, Python, Spark) to grasp the business insights

• Team positions include: Market/Business Intelligence Managers, Data Analyst (Jr. & Sr.), Business Analysts (8).


Location: Remote; travel as necessary. Strong virtual networker.


Career Path: No higher local positions in US today, but this will evolve and laterals available in other functions (Digital Marketing, SC, Cat Man). However, between our Central DOTI and Market Intelligence teams (Lyon), our CRM teams (SalesForce) Globally, our regional/North America BI&A teams, plenty of opportunity to create positions.
