About Our Client

Our client is a PE-backed healthcare multi-site and multi-state services provider. Delivering care related to dementia, Alzheimer's and other behavioral health related services.


Position Summary

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be instrumental in leading the financial operations and strategic planning for the Company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in complex financial settings, especially within the healthcare industry, and will be responsible for ensuring financial stability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with the Company’s growth targets.
  • Offer financial insights and strategic recommendations to the executive team based on thorough analysis and forecasting.


Operational Financial Management:

  • Oversee comprehensive financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Maintain accuracy in financial reporting and communicate financial data in the context of industry trends to stakeholders, including management, board members, lenders, and investors.


Credit & Risk Management:

  • Manage credit reporting processes and implement robust risk management strategies to protect financial assets.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with operating in multiple states and complex revenue cycle management systems.


Private Equity Collaboration:

  • Leverage private equity experience to drive strategic initiatives and improve financial performance.
  • Engage in board reporting and interactions with lenders, ensuring alignment with the Company’s strategic direction.


Multi-State Operations:

  • Navigate and comply with the regulatory requirements of operating in a multi-state environment.
  • Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and reporting standards.


Payor and Provider Relations:

  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of the Company's business model to foster partnerships with post-acute care facilities.
  • Clearly articulate the Company’s value proposition to both internal and external audiences.
  • Lead initiatives focused on optimizing payor relationships and negotiating reimbursement terms.


Leadership and Team Development:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting a collaborative and accountable culture.
  • Empower team members through effective delegation and leadership.


Process Improvement & Systems Management:

  • Streamline accounting processes and oversee the transition to Sage Intact (or equivalent systems) for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to change management, ensuring continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred, MBA advantageous.
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in financial leadership roles, with significant healthcare finance exposure.
  • Proficient in credit reporting, private equity dynamics, and navigating multi-state operational complexities.
  • Proven track record in driving financial performance and operational excellence.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Sage, NetSuite or similar accounting systems is desirable.
  • Experience in the post-acute services industry.
  • Prior experience in a physician-led organization and familiarity with post-acute care facilities is preferred.
