Position Summary


The Supply Chain Planner responsibilities include internal product expediting with production facilities, inventory planning, and deployment of finished goods. The planner will assess product demand to ensure an adequate supply of product to service customer needs and optimize inventory investment / manage working capital. The planner will work with supply chain teams to interpret domestic and international demand forecasts, maintain product pipelines, and manage planned inventory levels in SAP.


Essential Functions

  • Plan and deploy finished goods inventory to company managed domestic and international warehouses
  • Develop inventory management plans and coordinate with Manufacturing to support seasonal trends and new business initiatives
  • Participate in meetings with sales teams and international office staff to validate forecasts and product pipelines
  • Participate in meetings with Customer Service and Manufacturing
  • Participate on the Sales and Operations Planning team
  • Expedite orders as needed in the process
  • Responsible for monitoring order readiness
  • Develop systems to manage exceptions to standard process
  • Conduct financial analysis of inventory positions
  • Conduct root cause analysis when necessary
  • Support internal customer service inquiries
  • Participate in after-hours conference calls with overseas business teams
  • Identify current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status and recovery plans
  • Interact continuously with sales and supply chain teams to assess demand requirements, prioritize production, and coordinate with key stakeholders
  • Achieve consensus among key stakeholders on inventory goals
  • Develop and provide reports and requested information to management as needed
  • Develop systems and procedures required to meet supply chain objectives


Qualifications


Minimum required:


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, supply chain or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory planning, MRP, and / or supply chain
  • Good understanding of supply chain metrics

Preferred:

  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives


Schedule Requirements

This is a hybrid position. This position is expected to work within core business hours including being on-site in Eden Prairie, MN 3 days per week.
