Senior Design Engineer

The Design Engineer will manage the company product drawing, and product/ material specification process including: Review, validation, and approval of current Customer and Supplier product drawings and new product drawings.


Responsibilities:

  • Modify and update current product drawings to ensure accuracy of specifications including overall drawing to drawing design requirements and consistency, validation of material requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
  • Validation and recommendations for Ohms, Watts, and Amps requirements.
  • Inspecting and sampling products to ensure quality standards are met, and support (NPI) new product introduction.
  • Visit customer facilities for design consideration on custom projects.
  • Work with Ownership on new patentable product offerings.
  • Position is Work in Office (Ogden, UT).


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)

Minimum 5+ years of Design or Development Engineering experience.

Proficiency in working with CAD and 3D Imagining Software.

Ability to travel up to 10%.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Aerospace or Automotive industries preferred.
  • Experience with International Contract Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Ability to visualize and create new models for product approval.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.
  • Project Management experience is a bonus.
  • Mandarin or Thai fluency is a Big Plus
