Senior / Principal Engineering, Global Facilities U.S. Region - Chemical, Gas, Water & Wastewater FAC


As the Senior / Principal Engineering, Chemical, Gas, Water & Wastewater for the Global Facilities Engineering department with our client, you will have a unique opportunity to work with a multi-discipline engineering team and provide engineering system and technical support for various semiconductor manufacturing sites in the Unites States and Asia.


In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring flawless engineering & design, construction, installation, start-up, operations and maintenance activities, with a focus on global standardization, innovation, reliability, performance, and sustainability.


Work with a Multi-Discipline Engineering Team

  • Provide expert understanding of semiconductor facilities Chemical, Gas, Water and Wastewater, System Engineering Technical Domain including engineering, design, construction, operational, and maintenance capabilitiesk, in order to provide critical engineering design and support to the site network
  • Work with the multi-discipline engineering team focused on strategic and operational excellence
  • Support building a skilled, strategic engineering team for Chemical, Gas, Water and Wastewater, and other subject areas (including recruitment, training, staffing, and retention)
  • Support the network effort to implement, monitor and drive continuous improvement for success of ’s strategic programs and initiatives
  • Provide technical advice and support to overcome challenges and roadblocks in project planning & execution


Multi-Discipline Engineering for large-scale greenfield FAB design and construction projects in U.S. and Asia

  • Provide exertise for planning, execution, and completion of U.S. and Asia greenfield FAB design and construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Collaborate with entire Project and Collaborator team including from global and regional facilities, site facilities, construction, procurement, operations, manufacturing, IT, layout and planning, and other internal and external collaborator teams
  • Establish and maintain best-in-class engineering and construction practices, focusing on innovation, efficiency and Sustainability.
  • Drive engineering and construction cost management initiatives and ensure financial accountability in all construction activities.
  • Ensure that project and subject area scope, schedule, and cost meets customer, requestor, and project needs
  • Ensure appropriate communication and collaboration with facilities, design, construction, procurement and manufacturing partners, to deliver project objectives and results.
  • Perform timely review of design packages and providing documented comments and feedback as necessary.
  • Ensure designs are in compliance with all standards, codes, and regulations
  • Monitor progress and provide engineering and design support during construction projects
  • Provide support for project cost and schedule estimates and justification for approval
  • Provide supervision and coordination of consultant resources

Collaborate with Stakeholders, Partners, and Global Network Sites on Multi-Discipline related topics

  • Initiate and sustain effective communication with team members, partners, and collaborators (top-down)
  • Share updates back to the director, engineering leadership teams, and engineering teams (bottom-up)
  • Advance issues, offering options and recommendations for resolution
  • Communicate strategic department goals, project execution plans, programs and initiatives, and targets
  • Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions.

Provide Technical Support and Expertise

  • Work with multi-discipline engineering team to provide consultation and support to global, regional, and site facilities and manufacturing teams as the technical field domain expert.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and collaborators including technology development team, procurement, finance, legal, etc.
  • Analyze system designs to identify improvements that will result in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings
  • Support sites with technical problem analysis and fixing/problem solving using standard tools and methodologies as requested
  • Benchmark with internal and external sites on engineering best practices and best known methods (BKM) of facilities buildings and systems
  • Maintain technical knowledge domain expertise on your respective subject area including for industry standards and best practices, trends and technological advances, emerging technology roadmap, design innovations, sustainability, digitalization, etc.

Provide Design and Construction Project Support, Leadership, and Expertise

  • Support the global, regional, and site design and construction project teams in the engineering and design development for the greenfield FAB design and construction projects.
  • Review and provide feedback and support of the global design and construction standards and construction specifications with focus and emphasis on engineering design and construction of your respective systems.
  • Review and provide feedback and support of the system design concepts for your respective field systems to be deployed into the design and construction projects
  • Review capacity planning databases and system operating trends across the network and validating utilization and diversity factor assumptions
  • Participate and/or lead capacity and scenario planning across the network, including evaluation of system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenario changes
  • Review and advise on scope, schedule, and cost estimates for facilities infrastructure additions or modifications

Provide Global Initiatives Program Support, and Expertise

  • Support, review, and provide feedback/lessons for global best known methods with focus and emphasis on operations and maintenance reliability and/or performance
  • Support, review, and provide feedback/lessons learned of the global facilities programs & initiatives, including for program implementation and execution
  • Support the global facilities sustainability programs in support of corporate sustainability goals and initiatives, including for program implementation and execution
  • Support, review, and provide feedback on the Lessons Learned from global, regional, and site teams that will be incorporated into the global standards and BKMs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, chemical, process, or industrial engineering required
  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in semiconductor and/or facilities related industry
  • Technical expertise, knowledge, and experience on facilities and semiconductor mechanical, process, chemical, gases, water, and wastewater systems
  • Ability to build and lead teams, develop people and their career growth, and focus the team on performing to meet strategic objectives
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good organizational skills and Service demeanor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good team working skills, English required
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems
  • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time or more, to the network sites and FAB construction project locations including during critical project phases or site activities W
