With this, we are working with the Vice President of Global Operations to seek a Director of Operations to sit within their most impacting plant. They will oversee operations at a crucial location and implement a culture of efficient production and quality, while fostering a safe and energetic workplace culture. The implementation of Lean in this process is a vital part of the cultural vision and movement.
This professional will need to be a hands on and strategic leader, well experienced with a Lean manufacturing processes in a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment.
Requirements and Skills
- BS degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field
- Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
- Proven managerial and leadership experience
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
