The data we create is made available in bulk format, API and through our Risk Factor product (riskfactor.com) for citizens, industry, and government.


Our data quantifies the impact of a warming planet at a property level, empowering governments to make smart regulation, businesses to avoid bad investments, and everyday Americans to protect their most valuable investment. We started seven years ago by working with the world’s leading climate scientists to create groundbreaking, climate-adjusted models and haven’t stopped.

Team & Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Recruiter to find, recruit, and close top tier talent for First Street. The ideal candidate is excited about team building, process building, and working at an early growth stage company. The role sits within the larger Operations Team, which is a small but mighty multidisciplinary group focused on changing the world in an organized and process driven way. The Senior Recruiter reports to the Senior Manager, HR & Recruiting.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage the entire recruiting process from role kick off to closing
  • Partner directly with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs, advise on interview panels, and find the best people to help grow First Street
  • Build a pipeline of candidates through a variety of inbound and outbound sourcing channels, including our job board, linkedin sourcing, and your personal network
  • Conduct recruiter screens, assessing for company stage and mission alignment as well as domain expertise
  • Use data-driven insights to improve recruiting efficiency and influence hiring decisions
  • Obsess over exceptional candidate experience
  • Serve as an expert-user on our internal recruiting tools and processes


What you’ll need:

  • 2-5 years of full cycle experience recruiting in a fast paced environment
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices
  • Mission alignment with an interest in the climate technology space
  • Experience supporting a range of teams and working across different domains
  • Direct experience working with members of the executive team
  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), like Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Excitement about early stage and everything that comes along with that: process building, being scrappy, getting your hands dirty (we do not have recruiting coordinators or sourcers)


What will make you stand out:

  • Subject matter expertise in either sales recruiting or science recruiting
  • Recruiting experience at a Seed round or Series A company
  • Experience understanding and pitching stock options to potential employees
  • Previous experience with Ashby
  • A mix of agency and in house experience
  • Prior experience and a network of talent in New York City
  • Prior experience and a network of talent within the Climate Tech space
  • Interest in getting more exposure and occasionally helping out on the human resources side of the team
